On 27 April 2023, József Terék (tárogató) and Zsolt Farkas (viola) performed at the National Library in Rabat. The audience applauded the Hungarian artists when they played Hungarian folk music motifs. The event was attended by members of the Hungarian diaspora, the Secretary General of the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and his staff, representatives of the diplomatic corps, prominent businessmen, cultural figures and members of Moroccan society. Our Embassy in Rabat has made a habit of organising a number of cultural events every year in order to enhance Hungary's visibility and improve its image. It was a particular pleasure to be able to present to the public again one of the wonderful cultural legacies of our country after the pandemic, the folk music instrument trumpet, which was classified as Hungarikum by the Hungarian Hungarikum Committee in 2014. In his welcome speech, Ambassador Miklós Tromler emphasised the excellent bilateral relations between Hungary and Morocco and stressed that cultural cooperation is essential to build "bridges" between the countries.
