Inauguration of the National Assembly
The inaugural session of the newly elected National Assembly of Hungary was held today, 9 May 2026 in Budapest.
The leader of the new governing party, Mr. Péter Magyar was elected and sworn in as the 60th Prime Minister of Hungary, effective today. The process of forming the new government is officially ongoing.
